So we are in the process of buying a new car which is a very bitter sweet thing for me. I have had my car for nine years...and it has been a trooper!! It has been in two wrecks (one not by me, but by some dumb ass redneck I let borrow it) and it still won't give up!! My mom painted the hood that bears only primer with some oil based paint. Don't ask me why she did this? I am just as confused. The bumper is held on with some wierd chicken wire...guess who fixed it? Not my mom...she is not a redneck. And by the way I am not talking bad about rednecks, there is no one on this world more entertaining!
..did I mention that the car has almost 200,000 miles...as you can tell it is time for a new one especially with gas being 4 bucks a gallon!
But I don't want to get rid of my Refused...bumper sticker...I will never find a new one of those, I know it!
Zack, my husband, called this dealership and explained that we were interested in a car. He proceeded to say that he had to pick his wife (me) up at school but we may show up at the dealership later. When I got home I was not much up for a ride to happy valley (which I will have to talk about later) so we didn't go. The salesman, Caleb, called Zack's phone at about 8 pm wondering where we were. (I didn't know we needed to check in) Caleb then goes on to guilt trip Zack saying he was supposed be off work at 5 and he was waiting there solely for us. Um...needless to say we are not buying a car from Caleb.
Today we went and test drove a cute little Toyota Yaris, it was an automatic, thus Zack was automatically turned off by it. He thinks it is more entertaining to drive a stick...I do too but not necessarily pertaining to cars. What does that say about my husband? Anyway, the tension kept building as the salesman would leave the glass capsuled office...or fishbowl to see what he could do for us. It is interesting how this man expected us to just get in that car and drive down the road...but we didn't...we need to think about it....talk amongst ourselves (that is what you do as husband and wife)...but he is going to call to check up on our decision this weekend. When this gets all figured out we will have a shiny new car and I have a sneaking suspicion that that salesman won't have time to check up on us after he gets his commission check.
